Shopify customer service software that never sends without you

One inbox for your store’s email and live chat, an AI agent that drafts in your brand’s voice, and a flat price that doesn’t climb with your ticket count.

The short answer

inrelay is Shopify customer service software priced flat, not per ticket: a shared inbox for your store’s email, live chat on the storefront, a knowledge base on your own domain, and an AI agent that drafts replies in your brand’s voice — a human approves every send. Order context beside each conversation is in development.

Running support for a Shopify store means the same message, hundreds of times: where’s my order? It means a quiet Tuesday and then a launch day that triples your queue overnight. It means answering with one hand while the other holds the Shopify admin open in a second tab, hunting for the order number the customer didn’t include. And on ticket-metered helpdesks, it means paying the most in exactly the months your margin is thinnest.

None of that is a customer-service failure. It’s what selling online looks like — and it’s the exact shape of problem a store’s support tool should absorb, not pass along.

01 · What stores need

What Shopify support teams actually need

WISMO answered fast, without a human typing it fresh each time. Order-status questions are the bulk of a store’s queue. They deserve a fast, accurate, on-brand answer — and they should cost your team seconds of review, not minutes of writing.

A tool that survives the spike. Drops, promos and Q4 don’t ask permission. The queue triples; your software bill and your team’s access shouldn’t triple with it.

One queue, honestly counted. Storefront chat and support email belong in the same list with the same owners — not two tools with two half-watched inboxes.

Your brand’s voice on every reply. DTC customers can smell a template. Speed that costs you your voice is a bad trade.

The order next to the conversation. The single biggest tab-switch in store support is inbox → admin → inbox. The order belongs beside the thread.

02 · How inrelay fits

Requirement by requirement, honestly

Here is how inrelay meets each of those five — including the one that isn’t shipped yet, marked as such.

What your store needsHow inrelay meets it WISMO at scaleThe AI agent reads each message, tags intent and drafts a reply in your voice from your knowledge base. You review, tweak, approve — nothing sends without a human. The agent drafts on every plan, governed by a monthly reply budget you set. Surviving the spikeFlat pricing per account — Solo at $19 a month, Team at $79 flat — and teammates are never priced. Volume is never metered: the only number is the agent’s reply budget, which you set and it never overspends. No per-ticket meter. Flat, even in Q4. One queueEmail and storefront live chat land in the same inbox today, with assignment and collision detection. Instagram DM and TikTok Shop are in development — not shipped, so we won’t count them yet. Your voiceDrafts are written in your store’s voice, learned from how you actually reply — and the approval gate means the voice never drifts without you noticing. Order context in the threadThe Shopify integration — order details beside the conversation — is in development, described in the next section. Until it ships, this row stays honest: today you’ll still check the admin.
03 · Shipping soon

The order, beside the thread

With the Shopify integration connected, each conversation shows the customer’s order in a sidebar: items, fulfillment status, tracking, order history. The agent uses it to draft WISMO answers with the real tracking link already in place — and you approve before anything sends. It is in development now; the changelog announces it the day it’s real, and we don’t publish dates we’d have to walk back.

04 · A launch day

What a launch morning looks like

You dropped a restock at 8pm and went to bed. Overnight, forty-one messages arrived — storefront chat and email, one queue. The agent triaged all of them: tagged the order-status questions, routed the two damaged-parcel messages to whoever owns returns, and drafted replies in your voice for everything routine.

Your morning brief reads like a to-do list that already did most of itself: thirty-four drafts waiting for approval, five answered by customers finding the knowledge base on their own, two that genuinely need you. You read drafts over coffee, approve most with one tap, rewrite one where the customer is upset and deserves a human from scratch. By 9:30 the queue is clear — and nothing went out that you didn’t see first.

That’s what Shopify customer service software should do: work the queue down while you’re away, and leave you as the one who decides what your customers hear.

05 · Integrations

What connects today, honestly.

We’d rather show you a short true list than a long logo wall. Today, inrelay for a Shopify store means: your support email over Gmail, Outlook or IMAP; the live chat widget on your storefront theme; and a knowledge base on your own domain for the answers customers can find themselves. The Shopify order sidebar is in development, and there is no integrations directory padded with stubs.

Questions, answered.

When does the Shopify integration ship?
It’s in development now. We don’t publish dates we might have to walk back — the changelog announces launches the day they’re real. If you want early access when it lands, tell us about your store and we’ll reach out.
What works with my store today?
Everything on this page except the order sidebar: shared email inbox, live chat on your storefront, knowledge base on your own domain, assignment, collision detection, CSAT, and — on every plan — the AI agent drafting replies you approve. Desktop and mobile apps included.
Will the AI reply to my customers on its own?
No. It triages, tags and drafts — a reply only sends when a person approves it. For a brand, that gate is the whole point: approve before send explains exactly what the AI never does without you.
How does inrelay pricing compare to ticket-metered helpdesks?
inrelay is flat per account — free to start, then $19 a month for Solo or $79 flat for Team — with teammates never priced and volume never metered. No per-resolution fees. Ever. Helpdesks that meter by ticket charge more in your busiest months; inrelay stays flat, even in Q4. The inrelay vs Gorgias comparison lays the numbers side by side, dated and sourced.
